Finnegan Reid Bunnell
Finn was stillborn at 32w +4 at 11:32pm weighing 3lbs 15.8oz with bright red wavy hair, after two weeks of reduced fetal movement. All of his tests came back normal but it was later found after reaching out to Dr. Kliman at Yale that he had an extremely small placenta for his gestation (.023 percentile).
Finn is missed greatly and his mom and dad, friends, and other family do everything they can to keep his memory alive. We like to look up at the stars and moon every night to remember him.
On July 29th, 2022 we started Friends of Finnegan, an organization that hand makes blankets and hats to donate to Des Moines area hospitals specifically for pregnancy and infant loss 16w and up. Friends of Finnegan also donates books for bedtime stories, grief processing, and explaining loss to surviving siblings. Finn's Dad is a teacher and reads him a bed time story every single night since losing him, books have been such a huge factor in how we handle our grief. Our first donation was on June 7th, 2023 on Finn's first birthday and it was so bittersweet. Please reach out via our Facebook group or on Instagram if you would like any additional information.
We love and miss you so much our little Rocket Man, tell the stars we say hi.
