After a successful round of In vitro fertilization (IVF), we were elated to be expecting our third child. Our pregnancy was going as planned. At 20 weeks, we went in for our routine 20-week anatomy scan. Our beautiful girl was healthy, and there were no complications. Our next routine OB visit did not go as planned the following week. The doctor was unable to find fetal heart tones in the office. We were scheduled immediately for a follow-up ultrasound, where it was confirmed that she had passed away. Elise Catherine Housman was born sleeping 12/9/2022.  This road of loss has been extremely emotional and difficult.  Sharing Elise with her big brother and sister helps us through each day.
